Funny enough, that was exactly what I wanted to achieve in my hallway. I chose a design with perspective instead of a dense repeating pattern, and the result was much more convincing than I expected. The wall doesn't literally become larger, obviously, but the image gives your eyes somewhere to travel instead of stopping at a flat blank surface. I checked several styles on peel and stick wall muralsbefore finding one that worked with the limited natural light in my apartment. Now the hallway feels like an actual part of the design rather than a forgotten space.
